<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">Marius
D. Kettler
hat sich in seinem malerischen Werk vom Realismus, dem Thema
Surrealismus und der bildhaften Umsetzung seiner Kunsttheorie
<a href="http://www.actuismus.com/themen.htm">Actuismus</a> hin
zu den Farbräumen und deren Grenzen von Kontrasten und
Ähnlichkeiten entwickelt. Seine Arbeiten mit Leuchtfarben setzen
Kontraste und farbliche Ähnlichkeiten in ein Verhältnis das zu
einer scheinbar farblichen Kongruenz führt. Dabei kommt es bei
den
Nichtkontrasten zu Farbsensationen. Was macht die Lichtfarbe mit
den
Malfarben? Diese Farbräume schaffen ein irritierendes Gegenüber
von
Spannung und Beliebigkeit. Farbe und ihre scheinbaren Grenzen
werden
zum Thema der Malerei. Farbräume von unendlicher Tiefe zu
schaffen,
ist in diesen Arbeiten eine der Aufgaben. </font>
</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">Für
die
Klanginstallationen und Videoarbeiten verwendet er
elektroakustisches
Audio- material, verarbeitet digitale Medien und field
recordings.
Seine Klanginstallationen variieren von elektromagnetischen,
interaktiven und mechanischen Hybrid- Installationen zu
mehrkanaligen
Klangkompositionen. Kettler arbeitet thematisch, wo er
Experimente
mit künstlichen oder natürlichen räumlichen Umgebungen macht.
Die
visuellen und akustischen Räume werden mit maximaler Einfachheit
gestaltet. Der physikalische Aspekt vom Klang, die akustischen
ortsspezifischen Schallübertragungen und die Transparenz im
Klangbild werden erforscht.<br>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;"> <font color="#666666" face="Arial,
sans-serif">For the
sound installations and video work he utilizes electro acoustic
audio
material, processed digital media and field recordings. His
sound
installations vary from electromagnetic, interactive, mechanical
hybrid installations to multi channel sound compositions.
Kettler
works thematically, where he experiments with spatial
environments,
artificial or natural. Visual and acoustic space is configured
with
maximal simplicity. He investigates the physical aspect of
sound,
acoustic transparency and site specific sound transmission.
Field
recordings include industrial cites, rural and urban areas as
also
natural sounds. The investigation of sound, the origin and the
boundaries, where the sensory characteristics of memory and
association influence the perceptive moment.Kettlers
sound compositions are recorded with instruments, mechanical
sounds
and electro noise, the digitally processed material is then made
into
a multi channel or mono sound installations.<br>

color="#666666"><br>
Kettlers
paintings have developed from realism, to the theme
surrealism, over
to the pictographic implementation from his art theory
Actuismus,
leading to the color rooms where he examines the contrasts and
similarities of color. These
works with day glow fluorescent colors correlate contrasts and
similarities, that then appear to lead to a color congruity.
Though
at the same time the non contrasts become the color
sensations. How
does the normal paint interact with the day glow paint?<br>
These
color rooms create an irritating opposite from the arbitrary
to the
suspenseful.The
exploration of color and its apparent boundaries is the theme
in
these works. The creation of color rooms with endless depth
and an
intense three dimensional quality is one of the challenges in
this
body of work.</font><br>
